Xanthan Gum to Xylitol

Xanthan Gum (zan thuhn) A water soluble product from the fermentation of corn sugar.  Used as an emulsifier, a stabilizer and a thickener in foods such as dairy products and salad dressings.

Xiao Long Bao (sheeow long bahow) Also known as “Soup Dumplings”.  A Chinese steamed bun which contains aspic and filling.

XO sauce (ihx oh) A rich, spicy seafood sauce originally came from Hong Kong .

Xylitol (zi lih tahl) Also known as “Birch Sugar” or “Wood Sugar”.  A white crystalline sweetener used as a substitute for sugar.
