Did You Know that Apple?…
- Is a round fruit with thin edible skin and firm and juicy flesh.
- Can be used to soften rock like lump brown sugar. Simply put a slice of an apple inside the bag and let it stay overnight. The moisture of it will soften the brown sugar to make it manageable to use.
- Can be used as a scented garland. Just core the apple and make uniform slices. Soak slices into a mixture of 1 cup lemon juice and 2 tablespoons salt for about 15 minutes. This process helps in preventing the apples from browning. Then sprinkle slices with some cinnamon or nutmeg to create a heavenly scent.
- Has its new variety in 1838. It was called Granny Smith Apple and named after Maria Ann Smith.
